Product Photo Cropping Tips
Product photos are easier to scan when crops are consistent. The goal is not to make every product identical, but to make the listing grid predictable and readable.
Cropping checklist
- Keep the product fully visible.
- Use consistent margins for similar products.
- Avoid cutting off shadows or important edges.
- Use square crops for catalog grids when the marketplace or storefront expects square thumbnails.
- Keep background treatment consistent across a set.
SmartCropper workflow
Use Custom Crop for product-specific framing, Square Crop for listing thumbnails, and Image Compressor after final review. If a source image is too small, test Image Upscaler carefully and keep the result only if it still looks natural.
